How can we achieve 100% female literacy in India?

Gender equality is more than a goal. It is necessary for meeting the challenge of reducing poverty, promoting sustainable development & building good governance. Achieving a gender-equal world requires the collective engagement of women and men, girls and boys.

Did you know that even today girls face barriers to education caused by poverty, cultural norms and practices, poor infrastructure, violence and fragility?

The literacy rate is improving however still 35.4% of the women in India are illiterate. Achieving literacy and skills are critical for women to effectively contribute to nation-building and eradicating poverty.
