Today is World Sight Day, observed annually on the second Thursday of October, which is a global event meant to draw attention to blindness and vision impairment. On this day I would like to highlight an Apollo TeleHealth program launched in 2019 with Govt. of Andhrapradesh. Apollo TeleHealth set up Tele-Ophthalmology centers with state-of-the-art eye screening facilities at 115 identified Community Health Centres run by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Andhra Pradesh in the 13 districts of the state. Happy to giving sight and changing life with new hope.
